  1. Eye protection must be worn at all times when on the firing bays.

  2. Ear protection must be worn at all times when guns are being fired.

  3. Firearms must always be pointed in a safe direction.

  4. Firearms should remain unloaded when not in use.

  5. Firearms may only be discharged in the bays or in designated shooting areas.

  6. Be sure any firearm brought to the range is safe to operate.

  7. Anyone on the range must have a signed safety waiver on file.

  8. Memberships are required for every individual over the age of 16 to shoot at the range with the exception of club sponsored events (there are no family memberships, however a member in good standing may sponsor someone under the age of 16 to shoot at the range who has signed a safety waiver and submitted it to the club, in accordance to the club bylaws).

  9. Anyone who utilizes the range must remove all targets and trash before leaving the range.

  10. Only paper and properly specified steel targets (AR500, etc), clays, or polymer targets may be used on the range. No glass or improper metal targets are allowed.

  11. Proper distance from steel targets shall be observed (10 yards minimum for pistols and 50 yards minimum for rifles).

  12. Do not shoot steel targets with steel core ammunition.

  13. Keep all targets below the berms.

  14. Any event that requires closure or reservation of a bay or the entire range will be noted at least five days beforehand on the club calendar or another standard means of communication to club members.

  15. Members must ensure the gate is locked upon leaving the range. If there are any issues with locking the gate, contact the range.

  16. Firearms may not be handled on the range while under the influence of alcohol or any drugs not prescribed by a doctor.

Four Rules of Firearm Safety

  1. Treat every firearm as though it is loaded

  2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy

  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target

  4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it
